Turbotech's Peter and John attended the Performance Racing Industry trade show held in Indianapolis in December 2017. There were 1400 exhibitors showing off a wide range of "racing products" The highlights were the big array of billet cylinder heads and blocks. A Cummins engine based diesel drag motor had no original parts. The whole engine was billet machined on 5 axis computer machines / lathes. developed around 3,000 horsepower had three turbochargers and no water cooling whatsover. It only runs for 5 seconds to make the 1/4 mile drag. It was eye opening to see how much in house developement and manufacture goes on in producing these race engines. A bus ride around the brickyard race track (home of racing) was memorable.
