Silicone Hose

Turbotech's silicone hoses are used as heater, coolant, or turbocharger hoses in automobiles, where the working temperatures exceed 150 degrees centigrade. They usually have 3 or 4 layers of Polyester fabric inlay. These hoses have a working temperature of 180 degrees centigrade, with peaks of 200 degrees centigrade. For high temperatures, hoses with an inlay of aramid fabrics such as Nomex or Konex are used, which can be used up to peak temperatures of 220 degrees centigrade.

Our silicone rubber is one of the most versatile and resistant polymers, making it ideal for under the bonnet environment. It handles extremes of temperatures of (-60°C to + 220°C) and has excellent resistance to UV, water, ozone and oxygen. We use specially formulated compounds to ensure good tensile strength and excellent resistance to compression set. We reinforce our hoses with Polyester, enabling our products to handle higher pressures than standard rubber hoses.
