Reconditioned Turbochargers
Here at Turbotech we recondition all makes and sizes of turbochargers including the following: CATERPILLAR, KOMATSU, CUMMINS, DETROIT, VOLVO, SCANIA, JOHN DEERE, PERKINS, NAVISTAR, IHI, MITSUBISHI, MTU, NAPIER, BBC, ALCO and M.A.N.
All Turbochagers are reconditioned to original manufacture specifications and rotating assemblies are balanced to the same, if not better tolerances on the latest computerised balancing equipment.
Turbotech have for many years carried out repairs to large and small turbochargres fitted to Automotive highway and off highway vehicles, this also includes Transport, Mining Industry, Marine and Industrial Diesel Engines.
When servicing a turbocharger through Turbotech all customer details are recorded on our job cards with all customer requirements as per the work order supplied. The job card will list all parts required with a strip down report recorded on the rear on the job card, from this we can generate a turbocharger Inspection report and quotation for the repair. The customer is advised so they can carry out an inspection of all parts, after authorisation is given the job will follow normal workshop produres as per Quality Assurance procedure and on completion the job is packaged and all old parts are returned. All Our job cards are recorded and can be traced back by Invoice and Job number for future reference and traceability.
Our Services Include the Following
Machining: Cylindrical grinder, delapena honing machine, two large bed lathes, one small bed lathe, two milling machines, centering machine, drilling machine to carry all types of turning, grinding, reaming, boring and general machining.
Dynamic Balancing: Geisler balancing machine for small turbocharger rotor assemblies. Redat computerised balancing equipment, balancing of small rotors. Heinz Model FM-50-200 Balancer for large rotating assemblies, with following specifications:
Weight capacity of 250lbs (115kg) with maximum diameter of 24 inches and 40 inches between bearing centres.
Turbo Techics VSR Mk 111 Standard Phase 2 computer (Vibration Sorting Rig) Balancer.
Welding Facilities: Fully equiped to handle all forms of general welding including Mig and Tig, specialising in aluminum alloys, cast, stainless steel and metal spraying equipment.
Cleaning Facilities: These include a cleaning area for water pressure cleaning, chemical cleaning tanks, glass blaster, sandblaster, shot blaster, ultrasonic cleaning tank.
Specialised Equipment: Crack testing equipment, Heins shaft straightening jig, Ultrasonic thickness gauge, Infrared thermometer, Pressure testing eqipment, Measuring equipment - micrometer, dial gauges, verniers fully calibrated to QA Standards. Vehicle testing on the latest new Dyno Dynamics Dynamometer.
General Workshop Facilities: Assembly section complete with balancing machines, service tools, calibrated measuring equipment to carry out repairs to all makes and models of turbochargers. The workshop is equiped with holding racks, trolleys and parts tray for storage of jobs held in our security monitored workshop.
Warranty: All warranty work is covered by the manufacturers new parts warranty which is usually 12 months from the date of purchase. All other warranties are outlined on our warranty card, completed jobs are all sent out with a Warranty Certificate for the customers use for ease of traceability.
